Are you a university or Grande Ecole professor training tomorrow's geomaticians and territorial engineers? The GEO Académie program is dedicated to university or grande école professors who want to train and professionalize their students in the best GIS and geo-decision-making practices.
This program combines theoretical training and practical work. Ciril GROUP provides you with a GEO training platform for your students, and works with you to organize the theoretical courses, expert presentations, user testimonials and practical work content according to your students' specific study topics.

University of Compiègne
GIS generation
Students in the Aménagement et Ingénierie Environnementale (AIE) program at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) now benefit from the GEO Académie program to create tailor-made GIS projects with GEO. These future engineers in Urban Engineering particularly appreciate GEO's simple and efficient process for generating rich, fully interactive and dynamic full web mapping applications.
The GEO Académie program was integrated into the university curriculum of these students in 2017, at the initiative of the GIS Manager of the Communauté d'agglomération de Compiègne, who is also a user of GEO technologies and solutions.
Lyon 3 University
GIS & Territorial planning
Every year since 2015, Ciril GROUP has been working with students in the Geography and Planning Master's program at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 as part of its GEO Académie program. This initiative takes the form of a conference dedicated to geo-decisional tools and geo-marketing applied to regional planning.
The GEO Académie program creates a bridge between the academic and professional worlds, offering students a glimpse of the field realities they will face in their future careers. It is fully in line with Ciril GROUP's commitment to sharing its expertise, supporting training and promoting geo-decision-making professions among the next generation.
University of La Rochelle
GIS generation
Université de La Rochelle's Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems and Software, specializing in GIS, prepares students to work in organizations using all types of GIS tools.
In addition to courses on designing, setting up and operating databases, Python GIS programming and setting up web GIS, the students took part in the GEO Académie training course on GEO technologies.
This training enabled them to learn how to generate responsive HTML5 cartographic applications on their own.
Les Etablières School
GIS and Territorial Management
Specializing in the environment, students in the "Technicien supérieur en systèmes d'information géographique" bachelor program at the Ecole supérieure Les Etablières in La-Roche-sur-Yon benefited from the tailor-made GEO Académie program for the second year running, thanks to GéoVendée's visit to their school.
Geomatics specialists from Ciril GROUP customer GéoVendée were themselves behind this initiative, which is all the more remarkable for its rarity. The students were able to deepen their general knowledge of GIS and statistics through the production of GEO mapping applications for the management of green spaces and business parks.
University of Perpignan
GIS generation
For several years now, students in the SIGWeb (Web-oriented Geographic Information System) and TIG (Geographic Information Processing) professional licenses at theUniversity of Perpignan have been working on the generation of GIS applications using GEO.
Surprised and delighted to discover the ease of stand-alone GIS generation offered by Ciril GROUP's GEO Generator, the students were able to discover GEO's wealth of functions in detail.
They have also learned to create a multitude of statistical representation and cartographic analysis modes.
University of Orléans
GIS theory and practical sense
Thanks to the GEO Académie program, students in the Master GEOGRAM and Licence professionnelle cartographie, topographie et SIG programs at the University of Orléans benefited in 2015 from the experience of the Chartreuse and Lubéron Regional Nature Parks, Ciril GROUP customers, to broaden their GIS knowledge. This sharing of experience was seen as a real "plus" for the students, eager to supplement their own theoretical knowledge with the know-how of their peers.
The University is keen to build on this experience, which has proved a great success in its drive to open up its courses to the world of geomatics professionals.
CPE School Lyon

Every year, Ciril GROUP invests some of its time with students at CPE Lyon, enriching their engineering culture with specific GIS concepts. Highly appreciated by students, the GIS teaching delivered at CPE Lyon as part of Ciril GROUP's GEO Academy program is a useful complement to their solid training in software engineering. This teaching unit covers a wide range of topics, from GIS design and implementation to spatial data and database management.

In 2016, Ciril GROUP's GEO Académie teams met with DUT STID students at theIUT Lumière Lyon 2 to host a conference on GIS and geo-decision-making.
Aimed at a public already familiar with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), this intervention is designed to broaden their field of expertise by familiarizing them with more strategic and operational approaches.

Since November 2016, DeSIgeo, the Specialized Master in Geo-Business Intelligence created by ENSG, École des Ponts ParisTech and the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers, has been hosting the GEO Academy for some very special sessions. Over the course of a day, students learn about territorial planning tools. One of these foresight tools, Equitée, is the result of a close and complementary partnership between Ciril GROUP for its GEO technologies and BURGEAP for its business engineering.
