A look back at the GEO SI Routier 2025 User Club: discussions, news and perspectives
Published July 03, 2025
On June 24, we were delighted to welcome our customers to Villeurbanne for another edition of the GEO SI Routier User Club. This event has become a must for users and Ciril GROUP teams to exchange views on the business challenges associated with road infrastructure management.
A user club designed for you: information, collaboration, co-construction
Organized around three main objectives, the day's activities included:
- Presenting the latest versions of the GEO SI Routier software, and the improvements they bring
- Giving a voice to users, through the presentation of a concrete use case and time for exchanges between participants
- Involving local authorities in the co-construction of future versions.
A day rich in exchanges
At 9:00 am, the first participants were welcomed over a convivial coffee. The morning was then devoted to the presentation of versions 4.1 and 5.0, followed by feedback from the Département de la Nièvre, which had come to share its implementation of GEO SI Routier.
Discussions continued around various business themes, before a cocktail reception which provided an opportunity for informal exchanges between local authorities and with Ciril GROUP teams.
In the afternoon, Smart OA, a complementary tool, was presented, followed by a presentation of the roadmap, opening up the prospects for version 5.1 and subsequent releases. Finally, participants were invited to prioritize the improvements they would like to see in the future.
An active, committed user community
This year's Club Utilisateur GEO SI Routier attracted a total of 34 participants, including 12 local authorities present on site. The commitment of the users and the quality of the exchanges largely contributed to the success of the event.
"We have time to talk with other departments, so that's great. [...] We feel that Ciril GROUP has taken a real approach to making a user-oriented tool."
- Laurent ROMIGUIERE, Aveyron Department
"Today I learned a lot. [...] These days are very enriching, we can discuss both the technical and user sides. No two departments manage their data in the same way, but on the whole we have the same issues, so it's very interesting."
- Séverine THESSOT, Haute-Loire Department
"Demonstrations of new products are more meaningful than documentation [...] It's better than videoconferencing. [...] It's better than videoconferencing, because you can talk directly to the technicians.
- Sabine SERVE, Nièvre Department
The User Club on the next evolutions of GEO SI Routier
"The main objective of the GEO SI Routier workshops is to federate a community of users by facilitating the exchange of practices and feedback between customers of the solution. It's also a way for us to compare our orientations in terms of software development with the needs of its users, by presenting recent innovations and those planned for the longer term ".
- Tiphaine SCHMITT, Product Owner GEO SI Routier
We'd like to extend our warmest thanks to all the participants for their presence, their involvement and the richness of their contributions. Your feedback and ideas feed directly into our development work, helping us to ensure that GEO SI Routier continues to meet your business needs.
This 2025 edition has once again fulfilled its objectives, reinforcing the collaborative dynamic around the GEO SI Routier solution.
