Ciril GROUP sponsors the Jeanne BARRET class of ENSG-Géomatique engineering students

Ciril GROUP is a French software publisher and Cloud hosting provider. In particular, Ciril GROUP publishes the GEO Software GIS, geomarketing and geodecisional platform, which is acclaimed worldwide. With a capacity for innovation that is unique in France, partnerships with several research laboratories around the world and ground-breaking technologies, Ciril GROUP is a key player in GIS, geomarketing and geodecisional innovation in France, with a strong presence on all five continents.

ENSG-Géomatique is France's geomatics school. The school trains professionals concerned with geographic information technologies and their use throughout society, in both the private and public sectors. Founded in 1941, ENSG-Géomatique has already trained over 11,000 students from 80 countries in geographic information technologies and their use in decision-making.

Ciril GROUP, a long-standing academic partner of the school via its GEO Académie program, signed a sponsorship agreement during the summer for the class of 2023, dubbed the Jeanne BARRET class, of ENSG-Géomatique engineering students. This tailor-made sponsorship confirms Ciril GROUP's commitment to the French geomatics school.

This sponsorship will enable ENSG-Géomatique to benefit from privileged and widespread access to Ciril GROUP's technical and human resources, with a view to training and professionalizing its students throughout their Engineering cycle (academic years 2023 to 2026). There are already numerous joint projects between the school and the publisher; this sponsorship includes, among others:

  • close support for the sixty or so students in the ENSG-Géomatique engineering program class of 2023 in their study projects;
  • tutoring, by Ciril GROUP technical and business experts, of "Géodev²" projects carried out by students during their 2nd year at ENSG-Géomatique;
  • the organization of conferences and workshops on themes directly linked to students' academic programs, as well as on new technological uses in the GIS field (digital twins, BIM, smart cities, smart buildings, etc.);
  • in conjunction with ENSG-Géomatique and its foundation, the implementation of mobility grants (notably international) for the sponsored class.

This sponsorship is intended to be open, evolving and iterative; it will be enriched according to the initiatives and opportunities validated jointly by the publisher and the school, in the interest of the students and in phase with the values of work, knowledge, know-how and transmission shared by Ciril GROUP and ENSG-Géomatique.

Follow ENSG and Ciril GROUP on their websites and networks to discover the fruits of this sponsorship as the months go by; for any questions or requests for further information, please contact the people in charge of academic relations at Ciril GROUP.
