A regulatory requirement for your network
The DIP, required by the Doubin Law, applies to all types of organized commerce under contract and under brand name (franchising, commission-affiliation, associated commerce, brand licensing, etc.), whenever a commitment to exclusivity or quasi-exclusivity is required in return. The purpose of this document is to provide your candidates with precise information before any contractual commitment is made.
The Fédération Française de la Franchise (FFF) and the Fédération du Commerce Coopératif Associé (FCA) are the main bodies representing franchisors and franchisees on the one hand, and central organizations and members on the other.
Remember to respect the legal deadline: You must send the DIP at least 20 days before signing the contract. This deadline can be extended to give your candidates time to analyze the information provided.
