The GeoDataDays, or Journées nationales géonumériques, are an unmissable national event for all professionals involved in geographic information and digital geography. Geomaticians and geographers, elected representatives and local decision-makers, network and infrastructure operators, local consultants and engineers, etc. Every year, the event brings together some 1,000 professionals from all types of public and private organizations, to discover new uses, share experiences and exchange views on GIS projects of all kinds.

Building, exploiting and using digital twins: examples and future challenges

The digital twins of territories are multiplying thanks to increasingly complete and accurate 3D geodata bases. Implementing them alongside or within GIS enables new uses, but also raises a number of technical and organizational questions. Through feedback and technical presentations, this session is sure to give you ideas for your own projects. 

Business Geografic will present iTowns, the open-source 3D viewer for GIS, BIM and Smart Cities projects, and will also showcase its latest advances with GEO and SMART in the fields of 2D/3D GIS, Digital Twin, CMMS, BIM, AI, etc.
